Why the Obsession with Writing?

To attempt to encapsulate what’s going on in one’s own head and hopefully share it intelligibly. In this regard, language can be very difficult. It isn’t easy to capture everything one feels and convey its full meaning to one another; perhaps this is one of the deepest roots within modern man’s madness. But such an endeavor can be very rewarding, and it is certainly essential to our survival as a species. Best to cultivate it and attempt to understand it better, so as to exercise it more effectively.
